Unknown soldier

Ref No:c08822
Date Period:1900 to 1909
Date of Image:c1910
Title:Unknown soldier
Description:Portrait of soldier in uniform with pith helmet.
Further Information:

Looking further at the uniform, the three chevrons on the shoulder probably represent a Sergeant. The stitched crossed flags emblem on the upper arm represents that he is a signaller. The inclusion of a pith helmet more than likely means he was based abroad, so Africa or the Middle East.

Possibly Cheshire Regiment, Boer War or First World War uniform.
